Pepsi vs coke - has the competitiveness gone to far?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gbhHPbmf2s4

This is a Youtube video of an american news reporter taking about a fight which kicked of between a pepsi van driver
and a coke van driver, is this a hoax or not?? did the two employees really strongly believe in there employer that they
felt that a fight was needed to convey there thoughts. I personally thing this is ridiculous they both taste the same.
It is american consumerism go too far.

Useful website - http://www.dafont.com/

I found this website during my D&AD project this year when i was searching different typefaces to suit different personalities, it is a very good place to find different and interesting typefaces and it is free to download them on to your computer and so easy to do so. I have used it quite a lot, and would recommend it to anyone who wants to use typefaces that are original and not the ones that everyone has on there adobe programs. It gets updated every week with new and original typefaces.

Kodak colour films abandoned

http://www.businessdailyafrica.com/-/539444/614798/-/rvpweo/-/

I feel it is a sad lost that kodak have decided to stop the production of there colour film. It is just such a classic way of taking photos and puts the original child like joy in to photography, of discovering how your photos turned out days after your took them instead of seconds which you get with the new digital cameras which have pushed out this classic photo production.   You can not get the same effect with digital photos as you do with film photos, the same raw quality, it is going to be a huge loss to photographers and the photo art as a whole. As well as the general public, like me who still like to use film as it is not as predicated as digital and so brings in joy, excitement and unpredictability in to photos, which can be very interesting.

This is the advertising campaign to promote the new film about the threat posed to marine life by intensive fishing called 'the end of the line' i feel that this is a very effective campaign  but kind of disturbing at the same time. It is trying to be on the same level as the advertising campaign for the charity against domestic abuse which is of famous people bused up, a campaign which i personally think was very effective and brought home just how bad domestic abuse is, however i do not feel this campaign is doing the same thing, other then being a bit disturbing and out there it doesn't really reflect the charity/film/issue, but because it is so different and out there it will get a lot of media attention and so it will successfully advertise the new film to a large audience, so it is good and bad at the same time.

Daniel Crag ice lolly - Del Monte
WEB ADDRESS OF ARTICLE - http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1189998/Licence-chill-Ice-lolly-shaped-like-James-Bond-star-Daniel-Craig.html

I saw this in the paper the other day and thought it was a brilliant idea, if at the same time a little strange.  Having a famous person in the shape of a ice lolly, but i think if used in an advertising way to promote say a new ice lolly company or film or anything really especially if associated with ice, or summer it could really work and get the publics attention because who doesn't like ice lollys and quirky things.
